Big Dave is another apprentice to the medicine path. In the same way as Shining Bird, this song told me immediately that it would be his song, with the first few phrases. It is kind of odd, in a way, to know the song one is composing is not one's own, even before it is finished. It reminds me of grandmothers knitting scarves for their families, just something one does to contribute...

These woodcut images I am using are chosen because they work with the songs, for me. The two fish in this image remind me of the tight couple that Dave is a part of, and how such balance creates its own beautiful symmetry.
