A few weeks before recording, I was out on my back deck, playing on a lovely Sunday afternoon. After I finished playing, I realized that a group of robins had been singing at the same time. I started to dialogue with them musically. They were in E minor. They gave me the whole melody right there, in five minutes.

The last time I had connected with an animal musically was a squirrel in California in 1975. He sang in D major.

I like this song as the finisher for the album because it is like going out into the forest after an indoors event.
