This suite was the composition that more or less sealed the fact that I had shifted into a new world. Like Atahualpa Yupanqui, it is written in the traditional three-part suite form of strong opening, introspective middle and dance finish. Each of the movements developed itself in reference to aspects of the medicine path I had encountered. The first movement is for the medicine Ayahuasca, the divine serpent. The second is for Guillermo, an intense, alone beauty, and the third is for Francois, a Django Rheinhart styled torrent of feeling.

Through this composition I understood that one's own viewpoint or judgment on one's playing is completely arbitrary, whereas the experience of the moment while one is playing is quite real, and offers a chance to pay tribute to the astounding power, beauty and infinite wisdom of the world.
